Support our troops

1rifleswristbands

1 RIFLES deployed to Afghanistan in March 2011 for seven months. Casualties are sadly part of the job. The Battalion lost 5 soldiers and many more were seriously injured during their tour of duty.

The bottom line is that our soldiers risk their lives and bodies on our behalf and we need to do everything we can to support them and to show our appreciation of their sacrifices.

In the short term the 1 RIFLES Swift and Bold Wristband Appeal is used to provide much needed support and assistance for the families, girlfriends and boyfriends of the dead and wounded. In the medium and long term excess funds are used by the Rifles Regimental Trust (Care for Casualties appeal) to fund meaningful projects for the wounded and their families.

You can help by:
  • Making a donation to the 1 RIFLES Wristband Appeal (click on the "Donations" link).
  • Proudly wearing the "Swift and Bold" wristband that we send you as a sign of that support.
  • Forwarding this website address onto as many people as you can.
  • Becoming a fundraiser and opening your own online fundraising page on the Virgin Money Giving website
  • Asking every website owner you know (or even the ones you dont know) to carry one of these web banner adverts in their ad rotation.

So please click on Donations', make a donation and we will send you a 1 RIFLES wristband for you to wear thus showing your support and appreciation of their work done on our behalf.

With many thanks
